ABOUT OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Paulie Pocket cares deeply about your privacy. We process data that we need for (improving) our services and treat the information collected about you and your use of our services with care.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the Paulie Pocket website and the services accessed on it. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 13/03/2020, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions, if any, this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data from misuse and what rights you have in relation to the personal data you provide to us.

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use and to whom the data can be viewed.
WEBSHOP SOFTWARE
Shopify
Our online shop is developed with Shopify software, we have chosen Digital Ocean for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services are shared with this party. Digital Ocean has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have entered into with them, Digital Ocean is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.
WEBHOSTING
Digital Ocean
We purchase web hosting and email services from Digital Ocean. Digital Ocean processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata on the use of the services. These are not personal data. Digital Ocean has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Digital Ocean is bound to secrecy under the agreement.
E-mail and mailing lists
Klaviyo
We send our e-mail newsletters with Klaviyo. Klaviyo will never use your name and e-mail address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically through our website, you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data are stored securely by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other Internet technologies that provide insight into whether e-mails are opened and read. Klaviyo reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and in that context share information with third parties.
Transip
We use the services of Transip for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Transip does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
Payment processors
Shopify
For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the platform of Shopify. Shopify processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Shopify reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Shopify services for which they engage third parties. Shopify does not retain your data for longer than is permitted under the statutory periods.
Reviews
WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through the platform of WebwinkelKeur. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and e-mail address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to comment on your review. In case we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and e-mail address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to use third parties for the provision of services, for which we have given WebwinkelKeur permission. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.
Shipping and logistics
PostNL
If you place an order with us, it is our job to get your parcel delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out deliveries. This requires us to share your name, address and place of residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for the purpose of executing the agreement. Where PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your details available to these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
Yuki
We use the services of Yuki for our administration and bookkeeping. We share your name, address and place of residence data and details relating to your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data are transmitted and stored in a protected manner. Yuki is committed to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Yuki will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

We use your data for the purpose of providing our services. We also use your data for (targeted) marketing. More information on this can be found in the description of cookies.
Automatically collected data
Data automatically collected by our website are processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
By using our website, you (the visitor) agree that third parties may process your IP address to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to that currency being stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie that is automatically deleted when you close your browser. We do this to ensure that the selected currency remains selected and consistent while browsing our website so that prices can be converted into your (the visitor's) local currency.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
Where appropriate, Paulie Pocket may be required by law to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist within the possibilities offered by law.
Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we retain your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also regard this as a request to be forgotten. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices with your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in connection with your assignment.
Your rights
Based on applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data that is processed by or on behalf of us. We will explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to your e-mail address that is already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of processed requests, in the case of a request to be forgotten we administer anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint at any time.

You always have the right to view the data that we (have) process and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the e-mail address known to us, with an overview of the processors who have this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data that we (have) process and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, adjusted. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been adjusted to the e-mail address known to us.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data that we (have) process that relates to your person or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data that we (have) process and that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, processed by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf to the e-mail address known to us. In all likelihood, in such a case we will no longer be able to continue providing the service, because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Recht van bezwaar en overige rechten
U heeft in voorkomende gevallen het recht bezwaar te maken tegen de verwerking van uw persoonsgegevens door of in opdracht van Paulie Pocket. Als u bezwaar maakt zullen wij onmiddellijk de gegevensverwerking staken in afwachting van de afhandeling van uw bezwaar. Is uw bezwaar gegrond dat zullen wij afschriften en/of kopieën van gegevens die wij (laten) verwerken aan u ter beschikking stellen en daarna de verwerking blijvend staken. U heeft bovendien het recht om niet aan geautomatiseerde individuele besluitvorming of profiling te worden onderworpen. Wij verwerken uw gegevens niet op zodanige wijze dat dit recht van toepassing is. Bent u van mening dat dit wel zo is, neem dan contact op met onze contactpersoon voor privacyzaken.

Google Analytics
Via onze website worden cookies geplaatst van het Amerikaanse bedrijf Google, als deel van de “Analytics”-dienst. Wij gebruiken deze dienst om bij te houden en rapportages te krijgen over hoe bezoekers de website gebruiken.
